We welcome friends who identify as Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Queer, Non-binary, or those who are still exploring, to join us and build a positive, sincere, and mutually supportive community together. 🌈

CRN Online Community Management Rules

This is a volunteer management guide and workflow prepared for CRN's online community management partners. Please read carefully and familiarize yourself with the relevant methods and rules. (To maintain community order and safety, CRN reserves the right to remove relevant members.) Thank you to every community manager for your dedicated service; let's work together to build a warmer, healthier, and more vibrant community! 💜⚠️

Basic Requirements for Joining:

  • Applicants must self-identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ sexual minority community. Those whose sexual orientation/gender identity is not completely LGBTQ+, or who are still exploring but have a strong sense of belonging to the sexual minority community, are also welcome to apply to join, except for a few specific groups. The final decision on admission lies with the community managers of each group;

  • Applicants must comply with the requirements of each respective group, such as changing group nicknames, verification (voice or photo), etc. Specific requirements are subject to the distinct circumstances of each group.

Chat Guidelines within Groups (Please respect each other and maintain this space together)

  • Advertising and Promotion
CRN-related online communities prohibit the unauthorized posting of off-topic advertisements, self-media promotions, QR codes for other groups, and any pornographic or sensitive political information. If violating content is discovered, any group member or administrator can promptly @ the person involved to request a withdrawal, and administrators will issue reminders or take action depending on the circumstances.

To support and empower the growth and development of the LGBTQ+ community, our management rules for promotions are as follows:

1) Commercial or Organizational Promotion: If there is a need for commercial or non-profit organization promotion, please send a private message to a group administrator or CRN Xiao Q customer service in advance to apply. It may only be posted after review and approval.
2) Non-commercial Promotion: Personal sharing (such as events, resources, experiences) by members of the LGBTQ+ community is encouraged and supported. However, please keep it moderate and avoid frequent or repetitive postings to prevent bothering group members.

  • Private Adding and Harassment
It is forbidden to add group members privately without reason for advertising purposes, or to pull people into non-CRN groups without prior explanation. If you are continuously disturbed, you can send a private message to CRN Xiao Q or contact@crn.ngo along with screenshots. Once confirmed, the violator will be removed.

  • Authentic Interaction and Automated Management

In order to maintain an authentic, equal, and mutually trusting communication environment in the group, and to guard against the risks associated with fake accounts and automated behaviors, the following agreements are made:

    1) Real Account Principle
In principle, each member is restricted to joining the group chat with only one personal account. If you need to use two accounts due to special circumstances, please report it to the group owner in advance.

    2) Prohibition of Automation Tools
Please do not enable auto-reply bots, auto-forwarding scripts, or similar automation tools (including keyword auto-replies) in the group. Automated behavior can cause information disruption or misleading. If there is a genuine need, please obtain the administrator's consent first.

  • Communication Norms
Follow the principles of nonviolent communication and respect everyone's opportunity to speak. The following are prohibited:

1) Personal attacks, malicious labeling, offensive language;

2) Baiting or inciting a confrontational atmosphere (such as provocation, sarcasm, defamation, stirring up fights, etc.).
If a member refuses to correct their behavior after a warning, they will be removed from the group chat.

  • Privacy Protection
Without permission, you must not disclose the privacy of group members (name, address, contact information, occupation, financial status, ID documents, medical records, gender identity, screenshots of chats or social media, etc.).

1) Content from within the group must not be screenshotted or screen-recorded to be shared on external platforms at will.

2) An exception applies if criminal evidence is involved.

  • Safe Space: Anti-discrimination and Harassment
To foster a safe space, please respect each other's experiences and feelings in all CRN online and offline settings. CRN does not support any remarks or documents carrying discriminatory or harassing tones (such as verbal and physical sexual harassment that has been clearly rejected, misogyny/misandry, anti-sexual minority sentiments, discrimination related to appearance/region/marriage/faith/education/income, etc.).

    1) If you feel uncomfortable with certain remarks, please point it out in a friendly and rational manner, and avoid subjective labeling.

    2) CRN reserves the right to remove relevant group members and ban them from participating in related events.

  • Rumors and Misinformation
Those who spread false information or defame CRN or group members, and refuse to clarify and apologize, will be removed from all CRN communities and banned from participating in events.

  • Appeals and Feedback

1) Those whose privileges are restricted, who are removed, or who have comments or suggestions regarding group rules or handling procedures can privately message CRN Xiao Q or contact@crn.ngo.

2) CRN reserves the right of final interpretation of the determination and handling of behaviors.

  • Risk Warning
Engaging in private transactions or off-group private chats within CRN online communities and offline events is at your own risk. Please pay attention to personal safety and asset security, and use legal channels to protect your rights if necessary.
Complaint/Report/Feedback Channels: Only via private message to CRN Xiao Q customer service or contact@crn.ngo (reply within 48 hours).
