CRN Community Event Funding

CRN provides community members with $100–$2,000 in funding and promotional support to foster more diverse, interesting, and inclusive events. Whether you are trying this for the first time or have mature experience, we look forward to your ideas!
Grants: $100–$2,000 (depending on scale and impact)
Intake: Rolling (response within 7–10 business days)
Types of Events: Offline/Online, Culture & Arts, Mutual Aid & Charity, Learning & Sharing, etc.
Considering unexpected circumstances, sports-related projects are temporarily not supported
Support: Funding, materials, promotion
Eligibility:
Hosts must be Chinese and/or LGBTQ+ friendly (Allies are welcome)
Events must be open to the public or a specific community subgroup (non-profit driven)
Abide by local laws and regulations and the CRN Code of Conduct; self-check venue safety and insurance
What We Look For (with weightings)
Community Impact (30%): population covered, inclusivity, long-term value
Feasibility (25%): reasonable budget, controlled risk, clear timeline
Innovation & Diversity (20%): new formats / marginalized groups
CRN Synergy (15%): brand alignment, volunteer participation opportunities
Amplification (10%): content production, reusability, and replicability
Timeline
Application Submission → 48h Screening → 7–10 Business Days Review → Result Notification → Contract/Reimbursement Guide → Event Execution → Deliverables Feedback (within 7 days)
Ineligible for Funding: Commercial activities with profit as the primary purpose; high-risk/illegal content; highly exclusive events targeted at an extremely narrow circle; events that conflict with CRN values
Reimbursement and Payment
Priority is given to "Pre-approval, post-reimbursement"; for major expenses, you may apply for "partial prepayment" (with a simple agreement signed)
Required receipts: Receipts/invoices, payment screenshots, bills of materials, contracts (if applicable)
Unified Settlement Cycle: Submit complete materials within 7 days after the event ends, and disbursement will be completed within 15 calendar days
